(Boulder, CO – May 5, 2020) - The Saris + The Pro’s Closet (Saris TPC) elite Zwift eRacing team (formerly known as Indoor Specialist) found success in its first major outing this past weekend with a stage win and a third-place finish in the Redlands Bicycle Classic. One of America’s longest-running multi-day races, The Redlands Bicycle Classic was forced to move to a virtual format due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Holden Comeau, Team Saris TPC’s sprinter and Zwift’s 2019 USA National Champion, rode to victory in the 31-kilometer opening criterium on May 1. He won a bunch sprint over Cory Williams (L39ion LA) and Saris TPC teammate Ryan Larson.

The second day of racing, May 3, was held on a slightly more rolling course that included a replica of Box Hill, a climb made famous as part of the 2012 Summer Olympics road race course in London. Saris TPC rider Ryan Larson finished third with former British National Road Race Champion and his teammate Dan Fleeman in sixth.

Team Saris + The Pro’s Closet’s next race will be on May 6 in USA Cycling’s Virtual Race League. Holden Comeau and Ryan Larson are currently leading the series with fellow STPC teammates Christopher Beck and Matt Brandt close behind. This 10-race points series takes place every Wednesday through June 24.

The Saris TPC team can also be found participating in Zwift’s notoriously hard Tuesday morning “After Party” races and the #KnowNoBounds ride every Thursday. As Pro-Am riders continue to turn to Zwift races, Team STPC’s long history in eRacing is positioning the team as a dominant force in eSports.
