Multi-Point Inspection
Every bike that TPC sells goes through our Certified Pre-Owned Process. The CPO process begins with a multi-point inspection to ensure the frame and wheels are structurally safe. Small and some moderate blemishes are identified and called out in our listing, but heavy cosmetic blemishes or any structural damage fail this process and don't make it to theproscloset.com . After the frame and wheels pass inspection our service writer's identify parts that may need to be replaced. They look at everything from common wear items like tires, brake pads, chains, cassettes, and bar tape to less commonly replaced parts like derailleurs, shifters, and cockpit components. They also identify items that need adjustment like wheels, shifting, brakes, headsets, etc...
On to a Tune Up
From Service Writing, the bike moves on to our Team of Master Mechanics who use their expertise to resolve everything identified by the service writers to get the bike riding as well as possible.
No Surprises
Once necessary parts have been replaced or adjusted the bike is test ridden to ensure any issues have been resolved, then it moves to our Catalog team. These experts document everything about the bike to create the listing you see on our website. This includes: brand, model, components, upgrades, condition, weight, geometry, and more. They make sure the bike you receive is the bike you expected, no surprises. To further document the condition of the bike, it moves to our in-house photographers next. Any blemish called out by our catalog team gets a close-up photo in the listing to ensure you feel confident about the bike you'll receive. Every bike on our website gets it's own unique set of photos - no stock images.
Time to Ship
When a bike gets purchased from TPC and needs to be shipped it gets the ultimate care. Over the decades we've spent shipping bikes we've continued to refine our packing process to ensure the bike arrives to you safely in our Ride Fast Shipping box. Our Ride Fast shipping strategy makes it incredibly easy for even the most beginner riders to assemble a CPO used bike and get riding within 15 minutes with just a few simple tools found on a common multi-tool. The majority of our bikes simply need the handlebars turned/tightened, the front wheel installed, tires inflated, and pedals installed.

We test ride every bike we sell. There's no better way to know everything is operating as it should. If anything feels off, the bike goes back to our master mechanics to be resolved. If you visit our showroom in Thornton, Colorado you'll see master mechanics pedaling around the warehouse, bouncing on suspension, shifting through gears, putting torque on bottom brackets - things bikes are subjected to in the real world that aren't possible to accurately assess in a bike stand.
