Why We Love It
Chapter2 bikes are all engineered by Mike Pryde. If that sounds familiar, you may be thinking of a slightly older brand named NeilPryde. Well, you're not far off. Mike is Neil's son and they teamed up in 2017 to bring you incredible craftsmanship out of New Zealand under the Chapter2 brand. The Tere is the Allroad (or endurance bike) offering from Chapter2, which features slimmed seatstays for increased road compliance, a vibration damping seatpost, tire clearance of up to 700 x 30mm as well as kammtail virtual foil tube shapes that do dual duty by adding lateral stiffness for optimal power transfer as well as dropping in a dose of aerodynamics. All of this adds up to a bike that mostly feels like a smooth riding, confident handling, race bike. Certainly not as "endurance" hitting as many other bikes on the market and leans towards the race side, but for the rider looking for that subtle taste of comfort in a fast bike, this is the perfect ride.
