Rowdy Side of "All Mountain"

Why We Love It
The "all-mountain" designation for mountain bikes can be pretty broad. Many brands put a bike model into this corner to flex its versatility, but when looking through different brands and models it can become confusing and that's because "all-mountain" means something different to everyone. To somewhat simplify things, we'd say there's more or less two sides to this category: Bikes that predominantly climb and pedal very well, but are slack enough to handle technical trails for when you need them to - then there are the bikes who seek the black diamond trails, but thanks to progressive geometry and smart engineering won't be a dog when it comes time to pedal. Both are amazing options for someone looking for a versatile bike, but cater to different priorities. The Process 153 29 falls into the latter. This trail monster features 153mm of rear frame travel, a slacker front end, lower bottom bracket, and a longer reach to eat up those challenging trails. But, with a steeper seat tube and lightweight and responsive frame its no slouch on the uphills or more pedaly sections either. Kona is known for the strong personality they deliver in every bike and the Process 153 is no different!
Features
  • 153mm of rear frame travel delivers confident execution on even the most challenging of trails
  • Progressive geometry keeps this party animal climbing efficiently
  • Fast 29er wheels
Master Mechanic’s Notes
  • Light scratches on the top tube, down tube, drive side seatstay, & non-drive side chainstay
  • Non-drive side seatstay was professionally repaired by Broken Carbon in Boulder, CO, and that repair comes with their 5-year limited warranty
