Why We Love It
Big time lines require a big time bike and that's exactly what the Jamis Hardline is. This 160mm travel, 27.5" wheeled bike is a severely underrated gem that should be talked about more. Apart from the build spec and high end carbon, the true shining star that sets Jamis' full-suspension bikes apart is the impressively designed 3VO (3 Variable Optimized) linkage system, which does exactly what it claims to do. When you're taking big drops and hitting big rocks, the 160mm rear suspension feels bottomless and capable, but when you hit the climbs it stiffens up an impressive amount to provide efficient pedaling. Now, you do still have a pretty slack head tube, which is what you want for those rowdy downhills, but you will notice that front wheel way out there on the way up. Still, dang impressive climber for this big of a ride! Nicely done 3VO!
