Owen Halseth

Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, I’ve been riding mountain bikes since I was 10 years old. My passion for the sport started with a local camp, Singletrack Mountain Bike Adventures (SMBA), where I eventually coached for roughly eight years, and over time led me into enduro and downhill racing at places like Winter Park and Angel Fire. Today, I still ride and race when I can, spending most of my time on big enduro days, front range after-work rides, and bike park laps when I can.

What I Ride: Forbidden Dreadnought V2

Size: S2
Weight: high 30s?
Handlebar width: 750mm
Personal upgrades: Swapped the stock grips with the ODI ones from my last bike. I run CrankBros Mallet-E pedals.

Bought this bike in 2024 and have ridden it on just about everything. As this is currently the only bike I own, I primarily ride the front range classics which require a vertical climb to start, then great downhills to end on. I also think this is the ultimate bike park weapon.

Nothing too crazy about my setup, suspension is maybe a touch soft if anything. I have no PSI numbers on hand but should probably write them down somewhere. This is the only bike in the last 6 years I am not running CushCore. I usually install inserts after my first flat or rim strike, but surprisingly that has not happened on this bike. Maybe something to do with the rearward axle path, no idea. Tire pressure is low 20s in the front, mid 20s in the rear.

Thats it!
