Why We Love It
Stan's Biobased Drip Wax is a plant-based chain wax lubricant engineered for riders who want hot-wax-level drivetrain cleanliness without the stripping, melting, and reapplication complexity. The formula uses a polar wax technology exclusive to Stan's in a drip format: polar wax molecules are naturally attracted to steel, allowing the lubricant to wick deep into chain rollers and pins and chemically anchor to the metal surface. A water-based carrier delivers the wax deep into microscopic chain gaps before evaporating, leaving behind a dry, low-friction wax film that actively resists dirt and grime accumulation. For maximum bonding, Stan's recommends pre-treating the chain with Stan's Biobased Drivetrain Cleaner, which creates a primer-like effect that improves penetration without harsh solvent stripping agents. The formula contains no PTFE or PFAS additives and is produced in the USA from renewable, plant-based ingredients.
