Why We Love It
Shimano's lightest Dura-Ace wheel has been completely redesigned, boasting a brand new hub and improved rim. Best of all they're now compatible with Shimano's 11-speed system.
C24 wheels use a carbon/aluminum hybrid rim where the carbon is actually structural rather than a fairing as used by some wheel manufacturers. The standard aluminum braking surface leads into a half millimeter thick alloy rim, which is then reinforced with a carbon fiber layer on the exterior. Like carbon cranks that use an alloy skeleton, this hybrid leads to a light yet incredibly stiff wheel.
