Why We Love It
Light Bicycle’s newest generation of Flyweight XC rims, the Recon, are updated with a wider profile and a front/rear specific carbon lay up. Targeted towards cross country racers who seek every possible edge on the course. The goal with this iteration was to produce the lightest possible rim-set without sacrificing performance or reliability. The ultralight front rim utilizes a blend of Toray T700 and T800 carbon fiber and receives our spoke hole patching treatment, which maximizes weight reduction. The rear rim uses a continuous spoke bed and a stiffer reinforced layup design to create a balanced feel between the front and rear wheels. Now with a wider profile, increased resistance to impacts, as well as a tailored front/rear design. All of the technical stuff aside, these rims are lightweight, bombproof and adventure ready! It’s time to get that upgrade you’ve been looking for.
