The ripstop material is durable enough to withstand those awkward high-speed slide-outs, and stretchy enough to allow a wide range of movement when you are on the bike. Knee pads can comfortably fit under the knee-length cut as well. The inner waistband is easily adjustable thanks to the goggle-strap-inspired low-profile waist adjustment system that Fox Racing has developed. Then the TruDri waistband wicks moisture away from your middle. The pockets are cleverly designed and positioned which means that these are pockets that you will actually use. One pocket is zippered for the things you absolutely can’t lose on a ride. The cut is trail-specific and is enhanced by the removable padded liner which will prove useful if your riding tends toward more XC-oriented distances. But make sure you want to keep the shorts before cutting out the liner since no refund will be possible if the liner has been altered. The DWR finish on the materials means they’ll shed mud, grim and water on those days where the trails are still messy from an overnight rainstorm.
