Why We Love It
The Salsa Timberjack is a confident, trail-capable, versatile hardtail that isn't hard on the wallet. This aluminum frame features Salsa's Alternator 2.0 dropouts that allow you to run single-speed or gear as well as adjust the chain stay length to accommodate the ride characteristic you're hoping for. The modern trail geometry features a slacker head tube, longer wheelbase, and steeper seat tube which all seem to come together to provide a capable climbing bike that feels confident on technical terrain. Salsa designed the Timberjack with plenty of frame mounts for cargo galore to allow the bike to quickly transition to a multi-day bike packing workhorse, and clearance for 27.5+ x 3.0 or 29 x 2.6 tires to get you there in comfort.
