Why We Love It
If you don't already associate Pinarello with pure racing performance with every model they make, you should. The Crossista proves this by taking a handful of frame design tricks they've learned from their history of making the worlds best road and time trial bikes and applying it to the cyclocross course. The Crossista has hints of aero tube shapes to drop the competition when the course opens up. The rear triangle features "felex stays" technology which you can see in the curved seat stays and tapered chainstays. The "felex stays" help increase compliance as well as keep the rear wheel more controlled and in contact with the ground. The frame shape was also designed to make shouldering the bike a breeze and accumulate less mud to keep the wheels turning faster on those mucky courses. This bike is so quick, you may have time to grab every bacon hand-off and still keep the lead. (note: we always recommend taking advantage of bacon hand-offs).
