Why We Love It
It's clear when looking at the new (non-electric) Fuel EX, that these bikes were designed in unison. It's quite impressive that 2 riders could be riding side-by-side, one on the Fuel EXe and one on the Fuel EX and most bystanders wouldn't be able to tell the bikes apart.
The Fuel EXe utilizes a space-age TQ harmonix pin ring transmission in the bottom bracket, which silently assists you with 300w up to 20mph. This motor is the cheat code TDF riders were dreaming of in 2002. It's practically invisible on the bike and when we say silently assists we mean .12tu (tonality units), which is barely perceivable in a quiet room. Meaning while you're riding on a trail you can just enjoy the sound of the birds chirping, leaves rustling or the buzz of your freehub.
With this minimal and discrete drive system, the Fuel EXe stands tall as one of the lightest full suspension bikes in its trail-hungry category. 140mm of rear suspension and 150mm up front makes practically any level of trail possible no matter how rough things get out there.
