Drop Bar Dirt Rocket

Why We Love It
Boltcutter Cycles is a brand out of New Mexico with a heavy emphasize on advocacy and building up the cycling community around them, a brand that's easy to quickly fall in love with. The Peacemaker was one of their original bikes designed to take on any style of riding that benefits from drop bars and going fast. Cyclocross? Yup. Gravel? Yup. Bikepacking? Definitely, Boltcutter offers a specific fork with extra mounting options to load up more gear. This Peacemaker brings its exceptionalism via simplicity. There are no fancy damping devices, no flip-chips, no state-of-the-art mega proprietary parts that may save you a few watts in the wind-tunnel. The Peacemaker brings smooth riding, big power transfer and capable handling through smart geometry and design. This bike boasts an impressive 700 x 50mm tire clearance (or 650b x 2.1" or 29 x 2.0"), which is big and very impressive for how lightweight and high performance this bike still feels. If you're looking for a departure from the big brands and want to ride a fully-capable drop bar steed, we think you'll be pretty excited about the Peacemaker.
Master Mechanic’s Notes
  • New Shimano chain & handlebar tape
  • Light scratches on the shifters, crank arms, & rear derailleur
  • Light scratches on the fork lowers, top tube, down tube, non-drive side seatstay, & drive side chainstay
  • Moderate scratches on the drive side chainstay
