Why We Love It
ALLIED Cycle Works is one of the very few U.S. made carbon frame manufacturers. From the point an idea pops into their engineers head to the finished product being shipped to you, it all happens in the cycling mecca of NorthWest Arkansas. The ABLE had just about as good of a bike launch as you could ask for. ALLIED introduced this bike at Unbound 2019 and had it piloted by 3 of their athletes who went on to take the 200 mile win in both men's and women's races, setting the first sub 10 hour finish in the distance. Mic drop.

You may notice the unusual drive-side chainstay, what's up with that? One of the secrets to the ABLE's sports-car handling is the super short chain stay length, which keeps the bike nimble and quick. A short chainstay often limits tire clearance, and since bigger tires are necessary to win big gravel races, ALLIED's solution was elevating it out of the way to make room to easily accommodate 43mm tires. This gravel rocketship instantly proved its ability of podium finishes and course records, if that's what you're looking for, this is the bike.
