After years of impressing cyclists with Future Shock integrated into the headset, Specialized set out to deliver even more compliance directly below the rider and doing so without compromising performance. The result is a high performance gravel bike that delivers exceptional comfort, almost feeling as though it floats over chunky trails. For further enhanced comfort and control, the Diverge STR frame is capable of handling 700 x 47mm or 650b x 2.1"" tires. Specialized's SWAT door down tube storage, a threaded bottom bracket, and even fork mounts for extra gear are even more features that make the Diverge STR an all-star for any type of gravel rider, whether your aspirations involve racing, exploring, or both.
While first impressions of the somewhat industrial appearance of the new rear Future Shock can be polarizing, it didn't take long for the TPC staff to get over any skepticism and fall in love. After all, industrial vibes are tough and rugged and that's exactly what we look for in a gravel bike.
