Why We Love It
Rocky Mountain took the Jack-of-all-trades Instinct and electrified it with their award-winning in-house e-bike drive system, Dyname 3.0! Designing their own e-bike drive system allows it to be, well, designed for the Altitude, which shows in the beautiful integration. What they call the "Jumbotron" is far from jumbo, maybe it's one of those sarcastic nick-names, as it's home in the top tube is barely noticeable until your straddling the bike. Use the Jumbotron to control your assistance level - we won't blame you if you never leave "Ludicrous" mode. The other obvious note to the cohesive design is the chain and motor interface, creating such a smooth and intuitive transfer of power from the motor to the drivetrain, you'll forget you're riding an e-bike.
