Why We Love It
Just down the road from The Pro's Closet, in gorgeous Golden, CO, Spot Bikes is hard at work designing innovative and industry pushing bikes that keep riders exploring. At this point in the Rollik's history, it's made quite a reputation for itself bringing incredibly fast and lightweight riding character to a bigger travel bike and the 607 continues that legacy. The travel of this bike gets even bigger with 150mm in the rear and intended 160mm up front (the 557 has 140r/150f). By going all in on 1x drivetrains for mountain on the Rollik, Spot was able to design a stiffer and more responsive frame in areas you don't want flex. Spot continues to deliver excellent pedal efficiency by minimizing pedal bob through their Living Link rear suspension kinematics, which are truly incredible. If you're looking at the composite leaf spring and are concerned of its durability, fret no more. Spot put this technology through the ringer during R&D, to the equivalent of riding every day for 12 years and still saw no concern of dangerous fatigue. With the added suspension numbers on the Rollik 607, it has gone up in weight a little, but still remains lighter than most bikes in its class and the added weight is certainly worth the upgrades!
