Meet Adam
What got you into bikes?
I was a runner throughout college, but after getting hit by a car while running in Chicago, I started training with my University’s triathlon team as a form of cross training that minimized pressure on my knees, and the rest is history!
Proudest cycling accomplishment?
Getting my dad onto a mountain bike and onto the trail!
Favorite bike memory?
Setting my personal best on the Ironman 70.3 NC course in front of a hometown crowd!
Morning is the most practical since I live on the east coast and work on mountain time, but I love a good sunset spin.
Tell us about your favorite ride.
Any of the road and gravel riding off the Blueridge Parkway! It hosts incredible sunsets.
How many days a week are you currently riding?
About four. Three are interval days and the fourth is for fun, either a group ride, open ended gravel ride, or a spin on the mountain bike.
Tell us about your bike quiver.
Currently I have three. I love my Tarmac, but I’m currently in a pretty exclusive honeymoon phase with my Ventum GS1.
Any bikes on your current wishlist?
I’ve been having dreams about the new ENVE Melee…
Do you have a bike you let go of that you wish you’d kept?
I used to race on an S-Works Tarmac SL3 Team Edition that rode like the rear hub was glued to your feet and could turn on a dime. In practice, it was one of the most uncomfortable bikes I’ve ever been on, but boy, was it fun to climb with.
What's your favorite part of working at TPC?
The energy, humility, and camaraderie on the team is the best I have ever had in a workplace. Everyone knows a ton about the industry and the products, and is always happy to work with any type of rider, regardless of background.
Baggies or Spandex?
Spandex every time. Not only does my riding call for it, but I’ve also got short little legs for my height, and those knee length baggies do me no favors.
Solo rides or group rides?
Group rides for fun, solo rides for soul.
Favorite post big ride meal?
The biggest, greasiest, saltiest burger I can get my hands on.
How do you take your coffee?
I alternate between my French Press and espresso drinks at home, but I’ve got a soft spot for a Nitro Cold Brew with that Pumpkin Cold Foam.
Favorite cycling event to follow?
Although I follow the world tour most of the year, I’ve recently been getting into Downhill/Enduro after talking with a few of my offroad colleagues here at TPC.
Morning or evening ride?
Morning is the most practical since I live on the east coast and work on mountain time, but I love a good sunset spin.
