For a long time, the only bikes Quintana Roo made were Triathlon bikes. They've unapologetically been obsessed with the discipline for decades. In fact, Quintana Roo was one of the first companies in the late 80's to bring a triathlon specific bike to market. What started as a triathlon specific wetsuit company morphed into a cycling company several years later and the rest is history. Fast forward decades later and Quintana Roo continues to push the envelope in modern triathlon bike engineering, often ignoring UCI regulations that limit frame design to fully lean in to a committed triathlon race machine.
The QR PRfive has long been one of their most popular models. The bike shares many of the same aerodynamic and lightweight character traits as the higher spec carbon frame PRSix, but at a more approachable price. The bike has won numerous awards in categories like Triathlon Innovation of the year.
PROS:

- Lower price point than the higher spec PRSix
CONS:
- Triathlon Only. To create one of the fastest triathlon bikes Quintana Roo abandoned attempting to obey UCI rules that govern time trials. If you want an aero bike to accomplish both, a different brand may be better for you.
