Gravel has blown up over the last five or so years and with it, the modern gravel bike has taken many forms. The gravel discipline alone can be broken up into "sub-disciplines". For some, gravel is more a variation of road racing with a touch of mountain bike technical skills involved. For those riders, a bike like the Canyon Grail, with it's lighter weight design, tighter tire clearance, and more aggressive geometry is the way to go. But for others, gravel has become an avenue of escape. A gravel bike allows them to explore places with more wildlife than humans. Places your phone gets no service, where you can unplug. This is the more adventurous side of gravel, this is where the Grizl thrives.

Build Options: Canyon offers the Grail in a broad range of build options. 

  • Grizl AL (Aluminum Frame)
    • Available builds start at lower SRAM and Shimano mechanical groupsets with aluminum wheels.
  • Grizl SL (Mid-Tier Carbon Frame)
    • Available builds range from lower to mid-tier SRAM and Shimano mechanical or electronic groupsets. Some higher end options are available with carbon wheels.
  • Grizl SLX (Top-Tier Carbon Frame)
    • Available builds range from mid to top tier SRAM AXS or Shimano Di2 electronic groupsets. All stock builds are specced with carbon wheels.
  • Available Trail Options:
    • The Canyon Grizl Trail adds a RockShox Rudy gravel suspension fork for added 30mm of travel to the front of the bike. For rowdier riders, this 30mm of travel helps deliver both comfort and control on bumpier rides.
