BOULDER, Colorado // April 18, 2017: The Pro’s Closet is rolling out a new pre-owned bicycle program, coined "TPC Quality Assurance". Already the largest online retailer of pre-owned bicycles, they aim to build upon their success by using TPC Quality Assurance to further improve the experience of buying and selling in the pre-owned marketplace. They hope to benefit not only customers looking to buy quality pre-owned bicycles, but vendors and manufacturers as well by providing a trusted resource for selling overstock and demo product.
“We are leveraging our expertise in the pre-owned marketplace to make the bike industry stronger. Last year, we launched our Trade-UP program to support our retail partners. Now, we’re launching TPC Quality Assurance to support manufacturers by streamlining their processes for managing their demo inventory while protecting their brand in the pre-owned space. And we support our customers by raising the bar in terms of what they should expect from a used bike. Everybody wins with this model,” says Nick Martin, Founder & CEO of The Pro’s Closet.
Benefits to Bicycle Manufacturers
Every bike sold under the TPC Quality Assurance badge will be an exemplary representative of its respective brand. The Pro’s Closet has already partnered with several manufacturers and vendors to buy and sell their overstock and demo bikes. Not only are manufacturers able to easily manage demo inventory, but they can rest assured that The Pro’s Closet will service their bikes and support their brand and customers. "Selling our demos through TPC was an easy decision. We knew their detailed inspection and pro tune performed in their state-of the-art facility, plus their back end customer service would protect the Niner brand in the pre-owned marketplace," says Aaron Martin, Director of Sales at Niner Bikes.
The Bike Mechanic Process
TPC Quality Assurance is a complete process that begins the moment a bicycle arrives at The Pro's Closet. Every pre-owned bike to be sold under the TPC Quality Assurance umbrella is given a comprehensive inspection and tune by a team of full-time, seasoned mechanics.
Bikes are photographed in great detail by a team of professional photographers in a state-of-the-art photo studio to ensure that every bike is accurately represented, and then inspected again by a sales team full of bicycle experts who list them for sale. Before shipping, every bike is carefully packaged and inspected one last time to ensure safe delivery. This process ensures that both buyer and seller will know the exact condition of every bike available for sale, and that every bike from The Pro’s Closet will be safe and reliable.
With a dedicated team of customer service professionals, The Pro’s Closet can provide personal customer support seven days a week. This means, TPC Quality Assurance doesn’t end after a bike is sold. They will assist with any post sale issues or questions and ensure every customer is happy with their purchase. The Pro’s Closet hopes that TPC Quality Assurance will inspire confidence in the pre-owned marketplace by allowing consumers, vendors, and manufacturers to buy and sell pre-owned product easily and with confidence.
