Ventum Bike Buyer's Guide
What does it take for a new bike brand to emerge and find space for themselves in an already saturated market? You show up with a design radical enough to draw lots of attention and stand out from a crowd, but not too radical where it doesn't make sense to anyone. You take calculated risks on lucrative partnerships that put your bike in front of the cyclists that connect with the brand the most.

Ventum Bikes - A Brief History
Ventum - A brand that burst onto the scene in 2015 and immediately grabbed the attention of the triathlon world. While the brand is barely a decade old, their outside-the-box approach to bike design, partnerships, and early adoption of the Direct-to-Consumer model has been them a huge contender in the bike industry in such a short time.
Born in the wind tunnel, Ventum Racing emerged as a disruptive force in the cycling industry with a clear mission: to create the fastest bikes possible through rigorous aerodynamic testing and innovative design. Unlike traditional bike manufacturers, Ventum has built its reputation by focusing exclusively on speed and performance, with racing and competition driving their engineering and culture.
In 2015, at the Ironman Kona World Championships, Ventum launched their first bike, the One. It's radical "Z" shape design was impossible not to notice and gossip about. With the realization that UCI regulations didn't matter in most triathlons, Ventum broke down all the walls previously keeping triathlon bike design in a small box. No more downtube. No more seatstays. It was also the first triathlon bike that tested faster with its integrated hydration system installed than without. Bold designs get attention. Whether you're a fan of the "Z" shaped frame or not, there's no arguing it turns heads and gets people talking.

The result of fusing road bike responsiveness with the handling of a gravel bike. The Ventum GS1's progressive all-road geometry stems from an entirely new, never before seen design concept.
The GS1 represents Ventum's approach to the growing gravel segment, offering generous tire clearance and versatile geometry. The 2025 GS1 offers tire clearance to 700x56c in the front and 700x50c in the rear when running a 1x drivetrain. If you're still a fan of front derailleurs you still have plenty of clearance for 700x45mm tires. The GS1 is capable of handling everything from smooth gravel roads to more technical terrain.
If you want a true do-it-all machine, the GS1 is the way to go. Pair it with a second wheelset with narrow slicks for dedicated road use, though keep in mind that its gravel-oriented gearing may leave you spun out in fast road races or group rides.

If your rides lean heavily toward road with occasional smooth gravel detours, the NS1 with 35mm treaded tires offers a confidence-inspiring balance of speed and capability. But if you want a true do-it-all machine, the GS1 is the way to go.
Choose the NS1 Road Bike if:
- Your riding is primarily on paved roads

- You occasionally venture onto smooth gravel or dirt roads
- You prioritize speed and responsiveness
Choose the GS1 Gravel Bike if:
- You want one bike that can handle road and gravel equally well
- You frequently ride on varied terrain
- You want maximum tire clearance and versatility
- You're willing to sacrifice some pure road speed for capability
One Disc vs Tempus: Which Ventum Triathlon Bike is Right for You?
The bottom line is, both bikes are blazing fast, aerodynamic powerhouses. The decision ultimately comes down to whether you're racing UCI regulated races, the length of races you're participating in (how much hydration you may need), and aesthetics.
Choose the One Disc Triathlon Bike if:
- You're racing long course triathlons - the integrated hydration system becomes a critical tool for success
- You're racing on courses with cross winds - the "Z" shaped frame is designed to minimize cross-wind turbulence by removing the seat stays and downtube
- You have no plans of toeing the line at any UCI-regulated triathlons
- You appreciate a unique aesthetic that'll get a conversation started
Choose the Tempus Triathlon Bike if:
- Absolute top end speed is the priority
- You're racing shorter course triathlons
- You're racing Time Trials
- UCI regulations affect your racing
- You prefer a more traditional bike aesthetic
