That's a wrap! The 2025 Tour de France Femmes is done and it did not disappoint. The last 6 weeks in general have been thrilling for those who enjoy following road cycling with the men's TdF leading straight into the women's race. While the men's race was good, we'll say with confidence the women's race had us on the edge of our seats, excited for what the next stage would bring. Going into the final 3 stages, the top 5 riders were still only separated by 35 seconds, such an incredibly close race. With breakaways, crashes, and attacks a plenty, the contenders for the podium were constantly changing.

1- FDJ-Suez
Riding: Specialized
FDJ-Suez held strong the entire race. While they didn't win every stage as a team, they remained in first place for general rankings the entire 9 stages. The team was lead by 2023 TdF Femmes yellow jersey champion and all-around powerhouse Demi Vollering, who finished an impressive 2nd place at this years tour, just 3 min and 42 seconds back from Pauline. The team had a total of 3 individual riders finish in the top 10 (Juliette LaBous (7th) and Evita Muzic (10th)). An incredible showing by the team from France.

2- AG Insurance - Soudal
Riding: Specialized
Kim Le Court Pienaar got the team off to an exciting start by conquering the coveted yellow jersey in stage 2. Then, again when she took the Stage 5 win - marking the first stage win for an African rider in the Tour de France Femmes and bumping AG Insurance - Soudal into 2nd place team standings. Unfortunately, the yellow jersey was lost when Kim came into a sharp left corner too fast and went off the road. She was able to finish the tour, but not without sacrificing a ton of time and finishing a heart-breaking 16th place. Still a tour to be proud of, but certainly a painful way to lose the yellow jersey.
Another strong rider for the team made a late addition to the top 3 overall GC contenders by sneaking into 2nd place in Stage 8. Sarah Gigante had an impressive late race surge to bring her to the front, but couldn't quite maintain the push in stage 9 to hold onto the podium and finished the tour in an impressive 6th overall.

3- Visma - Lease A Bike
Riding: Cervelo
Visma - Lease A Bike fought hard and worked their way up to 3rd place overall team rankings. Lead by Yellow Jersey winning, 2025 TdF Femmes avec Zwift Champion PAULINE FERRAND PREVOT! This was Paulines' first time racing the Tour de France and first time returning to road racing since 2018. She hasn't been slacking since then, though, she's just been an unstoppable force racing off-road. She fought hard the entire tour, lingering somewhere in the top 3 for most of it and inching her way towards the front. It was in Stage 8 that she unleashed and finally donned the coveted yellow jersey. She becomes the first French winner of the Tour de France Femmes.

Riding: Canyon
Ending up in 4th place in such a close tour: Canyon//SRAM Zondayacrypto. The team was lead by 2024 TdF Femmes GC champion Katarzyna Niewiadoma-Phinney, who finished in an impressive 3rd OA GC. Katarzyna fought hard the entire tour, consistently finishing towards the front. A well-earned podium spot.

5 - Lidl-Trek
Riding: Trek
A big shake-up in the top 5 team standings! A strong finish by Lidl-Trek snuck them into 5th place as a team as well as landing Niamh Fisher-Black a 5th place overall GC finish! Niamh rode a very strategic race, always being within striking distance, but just enough back to fly under the radar. Then, in stage 8, she made her move and finished 3rd with a notable gap from the riders behind her. Then again another strong 5th place finish in the final stage to move her into the top 5. Congrats to Lidl-Trek for getting a top 5 GC and Team finish!
