Get the Look: Dress Like a Pro With Fox Racing MTB Apparel

Nothing makes you look pro on the trail like Fox Racing mountain bike gear. I pick out my favorite helmet, jersey, pants, gloves, and shoes. If you want, you can steal my look.

If you want a mountain bike kit that looks good and performs well, no one does it better than Fox Racing. Many of the best riders in the world wear Fox. lt is designed with technical input from world champions like Greg Minnaar and Loic Bruni, and the living legends at the Santa Cruz Syndicate and Specialized Gravity downhill teams.

I love riding in Fox because it's super refined, lightweight, comfortable, and protective. Best of all, you look super pro. Here are my top picks for Fox Racing mountain bike gear.

Fox Racing Proframe RS & Speedframe Pro MTB Helmet

Fox Racing Proframe RS

The Proframe is the original lightweight enduro full-face helmet. With tons of vents, it's comfortable enough to wear while pedaling up long and hot climbs. But, it's also DH-certified so it will protect your head if you do want to take it to the downhill bike park. It perfect for gnarly trails where you want extra coverage.

The latest Proframe RS helmet adds more ventilation and an adjustable visor. If you want to save some money, the original Proframe is still available.

Of course, no full-face helmet is complete without good goggles. I like Fox's Airspace goggles. They have a wide field of view, super clear lenses, and a comfy but secure fit.

Fox Racing Speedframe MIPS

If you prefer a half-shell, my go-to these days is Fox's Speedframe Pro. I think this is the best looking helmet on the market right now. It's super light and very well-ventilated. It also received the “Best Available” 5-star rating from Virginia Tech's independent helmet tests.

Fox Racing MTB Ranger Jersey

Fox Racing Ranger Jersey

Fox's Ranger line-up provides a more casual look, but still uses performance fabrics that keep you cool and dry on the bike. This Ranger jersey is constructed from seamless vent TruDri fabrics that help wick away sweat. I like long sleeves for the extra sun coverage and a bit of extra protection for your elbows and arms. They also make it easy to hide elbow pads.

Fox Racing Flexair Pro MTB Pants

Mountain bike pants are super trendy right now. They don't just look cool, they're also super stretchy and tapered so they don't affect your pedaling. Pants provide more coverage to protect you from the sun and the trail. I'll even wear them in the summer.

The top-of-the-line Fox Flexair Pro is my favorite trail, enduro, and downhill pant. It has a nice slim fit. The race buckle keeps the waist in place no matter how wild your ride gets. It also has tough Dyneema panels on the knees and shins that provide extra abrasion resistance during crashes. Laser cut ventilation on the thighs and behind the knees keep you cool on hot days.

Fox Racing Defend D3O MTB Gloves

For maximum hand protection, I like Fox's Defend gloves. The Defend line-up is made for the rigors of downhill and bike park riding, and these Defend D3O have D3O armor on the knuckles. D3O is soft and flexible, until it hits something. It instant hardens to absorb impacts. You don't have to fear cutting it close to trees and branches.

Fox Racing Union Boa MTB Shoes

Fox recently released its new Union shoe line-up, so riders can finally get kitted in Fox gear from head to toe. There are flat and clipless lace-up versions, but I went for the high-end Union Boa option. It has two Boa Li2 dials so it's super easy to get on and off, and dial in the tightness to perfection.

The Union has a bit of built-in flex and grippy rubber, so it is awesome to hike in, and they have a lot of room inside so they work well for riders with wider feet.
