Why We Love It
Steamboat Springs bike manufacturer Moots has been making a unique frame design they call the YBB since 1987. On the Mooto X, the YBB is a 1 1/8" (28mm) travel pivot-less suspension design tucked just behind the seat tube at the top of the seat stays. This design is easy to maintain, lightweight, and allows full use of the inside of your front triangle if needed. Just enough travel to make the back of this bike feel smooth and comfortable, but so little, that we're tempted to kinda call it a hardtail. Paired with the U.S. - made titanium frame, this bike feels quick, comfortable, and nimble on the trails.
