    Orbea Rallon Details

For 2018, Orbea completely revamped the Rallon to make it one of the most competitive new enduro bikes on the market. It has an all new carbon monocoque frame, 29” wheels, and 150mm of travel. The frame features an attractive asymmetric shock mount that allows for a stiffer chassis and lower top tube. The geometry has been modernized with a slacker headtube and longer reach (430mm Medium / 455mm - Large) which give riders more confidence and stability when pointed downhill.

The geometry has been designed around 32-50mm stems. The new steeper seattube keeps the rider in a more forward position for pedaling. This is all coupled with the wide range SRAM X01 Eagle drivetrain. Geometry is also adjustable between a “low” and “lower” setting, allowing you to change the ride height for your particular terrain.

For suspension, this Rallon has Fox’s benchmark 36 up front with 160mm travel and a Float X2 in the rear. This suspension is beefy and perfect for taking big hits and helping you stay in control through the roughest terrain. The fork has adjustable high and low-speed compression and the shock has both high and low-speed compression and rebound. This gives the suspension a wide range of tuning options for advanced riders looking for the perfect setup. The rear suspension kinematics provide a large amount anti-squat (over 100% in some of the middle gears) to produce a solid pedaling platform for climbing. The leverage rate is slightly progressive, meaning it will also work with a coil shock if you so desire.

    Rider Type

    • Enduro racers
    • Bike park riders
    • Downhill focused trail riders

The Rallon is a bike that is designed to inspire confidence downhill. It can climb well enough, but it will best serve those who worry more about going as fast as possible on the descents. The bike rides best in the lower geometry setting, which opens up its downhill potential. It will suit those who want to race enduro or simply push their limits as far as possible on the trail.
