The SuperSix Evo Hi-Mod Disc is a pure road racing weapon that’s experienced loads of success at the World Tour level and is currently used by the EF-Drapac team in 2018 season. It’s designed to excel on climbs, in the wind, in groups, and in any situation where you need to go fast to win. The addition of disc brakes brings the SuperSix into the future with a minimal 150-gram weight penalty. Thanks to Cannondale’s “ultralight disc integration” the frame maintains its legendary light weight, stiffness, and exceptional handling characteristics, with the added benefit of hydraulic brakes. Out on the road, the new brakes give you improved stopping performance, modulation, and control, which allow you to brake harder, descend faster, and ride more confidently no matter the conditions.

The frame is constructed of Cannondale’s Hi-Mod BallisTec Carbon, which creates a light and stiff platform. It features more classic looking lines than most modern road bikes, and it’s slightly less aero than some, but the subtle TAP (Truncated Aero Profile) tube shaping still provides an ample amount of aerodynamic benefit. Aerodynamics could potentially be further improved with the addition of aero handlebars. The SuperSix uses Shimano’s latest and greatest Dura-Ace R9100 eleven speed front and rear derailleurs and RS805 hydro disc brakes with RS685 shifters.

Cannondale, however, specs the bike with their own Hollowgram Si aluminum cranks with their one-piece SpideRing chainrings. This is among one of the lightest and stiffest crank options on the market. The SuperSix also comes equipped with their Hollowgram Si Disc carbon wheels which are 35mm deep and tubeless ready.

    Rider Type

    • Road racers
    • Fast group rides
    • General competitive riding

The SuperSix Evo Hi-Mod Disc is for riders who are interested in pushing their riding and going as fast as possible. The addition of disc brakes makes it slightly more versatile for riders who might want to use the bike in more varied conditions like rain or dirt, or who regularly tackle steep and fast descents. For more recreational and endurance oriented riders, however, a more relaxed bike like the Cannondale Synapse may be preferable. If your idea of a good time involves racing, working hard on fast group rides, or taking Strava KOMs, then the SuperSix is a bike that will serve you well.
